An EWG simulation of thousands of consumers eating high and low pesticide diets shows that people can lower their pesticide exposure by almost 80 percent by avoiding the top twelve most contaminated fruits and vegetables and eating the least contaminated instead.

Oh my, I wonder if washing them off helps any? I love oranges and I wash them off before eating them. I always wash and peel peaches, does that count? I use bell peppers a lot and yes, I wash them off as well.

I love everything on the lowest pesticide except for the asparagus and peas. Let the pests have them. I use a lot of onions and tomatoes in my cooking.

Now, the question is my washing it all with cold water helping?
